About LaSalle IPA

LaSalle Medical Associates IPA is a Independent Physician Association (IPA) that was established by Dr. Albert Arteaga who believed in bringing high quality, low cost medical care to San Bernardino County. The IPA was founded on June 13, 1984. Two patients were seen on the first day of business and twenty-two by the end of the week.

Over the course of the 1st month, just over 100 patients were seen. 

LaSalle only had one location until 1990 when the second location opened and two more locations were added 10 years later.

While not breakneck growth, LaSalle has enjoyed consistent incremental growth with the support of their health plan partners and now has six staff-model clinics.
LaSalle IPA also has an extensive network of providers across 8 Counties in California:

Our Network has over 1,500 Primary Care Physicians and almost 4,000 Specialists. We partner with stand alone clinics, Rural Health Centers and Federally Qualified Healthcare Centers. LaSalle IPA has over 380,000 lives that are managed by the Medical Group. Our Medicare line of business offers a wide range of benefit options available from an ever-growing list of contracted Health Plans throughout 9 counties in Central and Southern California. The vast Primary and Specialty Care network maximizes patient access to care, including in some of the most rural areas in California. Our IPA team who manages the provider network and membership assignment is instrumental to our success and growth providing World Class customer service to our providers and members to ensure we put the health of our members first.
