The State of California offers a variety of Special Programs that are designed to work in tandem with typical medical coverage. We bridge the gap by helping our members enroll into a program that are a better fit for their health care needs.
As Special Programs department we work closely with is California Children’s Services (CCS). This program is designed to support children, birth to age 21 who have a covered diagnoses ranging from acute to chronic conditions. These conditions may be physically debilitating or require surgical or rehabilitative services. We review, process and send applications to CCS for our members. Once the application is approved, we continue to monitor for continuity and can assist members with any questions or issues that may arise.
California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (Cal-AIM) is another program we work with to support our members. Having a whole-person approach, this program offers social, mental and community support to maximize health outcomes. This program benefits individuals with chronic conditions, behavioral health needs, housing for those that leave an institution, vulnerable children and aging adults. We work directly with a care provider to enroll our members and get them started on a path to transforming their health.
